Ati Atihan Feast in Aklan

January is a month of many ati atihan feasts in Aklan. Kalibo, the main capital of Aklan celebrates it during the third Sundays of January and Ibajay, another big district in Aklan celebrates it every fourth Sundays of January!

So it is not surprising to see this statue that seems to welcome the locals and tourists alike at the Kalibo Airport. It gives my daughter a look on what’s in store for us on the coming days when we get to watch how people celebrate the feast in a unique way. No need for cheap eyeglasses, you’ll see the statue and its details even if you’re far!
