Summer Yukata

I would sometimes mistaken this cute outfit to a bathrobe, that one essential clothing you need to have right after soaking at dead sea bath salts. But bathrobe certainly doesn’t have that nice wide belt and it doesn’t reach my ankles. So this piece of clothing from Japan is definitely far from my bathrobe at home. Giggle.

This gorgeous picture of summer yukata came from my good friend clang. She said that since it will be summer time in Japan, there are a wide variety of displays of this clothing anywhere at the mall. It is one of my ultimate dreams of mine, to wear one someday. I am giggling at the thought of how I would look like with a yukata on.

I’d like to know. What’s the difference between a yukata and a kimono?

hi, accdg to my friend clang
a Kimono is used for formal events while yukata is used as casual wear most especially during summer festival in Japan. ^_^

nice question by the way! :)

in addition, kimono cloth is made of silk so it’s pricey, while yukata is made of cotton
