Last month, my nephew Yael joined a contest in our Barangay. It was a sort of fund raising project. My mother persuaded me and my sister to let our children join since it’s for a good cause, my sister gave in but I thought it’s too early for Yena to join any contest so I said maybe her time to shine is next year ^_^.
One of the highlights of the contest is the parade of costumes made from recycled materials. That’s where the headache started when my sister didn’t have any idea on what costume to put on his son. But my mother’s creative juices started flowing and she started sewing Nescafe sachets and made it into a beautiful ninja costume. An equestrian boots will not fit the whole getup, but the sword and a black mask made the it fantastic that it won the Most Creative Dress!
